Event Participation

Payment and Fees

Pricing and Payment

All pricing for memberships, event registration, and services is listed on our website or provided at the time of registration. Payments are due upon registration, and you agree to pay all applicable fees using a valid payment method.

Refund Policy

Refunds for event registration or memberships are subject to NSCA UAE’s refund policy, which will be clearly outlined at the time of registration. Refunds may not be issued in certain circumstances, such as if an event has already commenced or if the cancellation is made too close to the event date.

Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists® (CSCS®) are professionals who apply scientific knowledge to train athletes for the primary goal of improving athletic performance. They conduct sport-specific testing sessions, design and implement safe and effective strength training and conditioning programs and provide guidance regarding nutrition and injury prevention. Recognizing that their area of expertise is separate and distinct, CSCSs consult with and refer athletes to other professionals when appropriate.

Exam Registration and Scheduling

When you have finished studying and are ready to take the exam, you will need to register for the exam online. Within 20 minutes after registering, you will receive an Authorization to Test email from Pearson VUE with instructions on how to schedule your exam. At that time, you will be able to select the date, time and location you wish to take your exam. Candidates can view exam appointment availability after registering for the exam.

Exams must be taken within 120 days of registering.

Exam eligibility start and end dates may differ for exam retakes. After registering for an exam, your eligibility dates will be listed on your Authorization to Test email.

What Education and Experience Do You Have or Plan to Achieve?

Each certification requires a certain level of education before you are eligible to sit for the exam. Some certifications also require industry experience as well. Many NSCA-certified individuals hold multiple certifications that were earned as they gained experience in their careers.

You are eligible for CSCS certificate if you hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, and have a current CPR/AED certification. Currently enrolled college seniors at an accredited institution may sit for the CSCS exam, but must show proof of degree before credentials are given.

NSCA-Certified Personal Trainers (NSCA-CPT®) are health/fitness professionals who, using an individualized approach, assess, motivate, educate and train clients regarding their personal health and fitness needs. They design safe and effective exercise programs, provide the guidance to help clients achieve their personal health/fitness goals, and respond appropriately in emergency situations. Recognizing their own area of expertise, a personal trainer will refer clients to other health care professionals when appropriate.

Exam Registration and Scheduling

What Education and Experience Do You Have or Plan to Achieve?

You are eligible for NSCA – CPT certificate if you hold a High School Diploma or an equivalent, have a current CPR/AED certification, and be at least 18 years old.

Recognizing their own areas of expertise, CSPS receive referrals from and refer clients to other healthcare providers as appropriate.

The Certified Performance and Sport Scientist® (CPSS®) specializes in the application of scientific processes to improve individual and team athletic performance and decrease injury risk. The CPSS may be either a generalist, working across the breadth of scientific disciplines, or a specialist practitioner, with training or applied experiences predominantly within one or more scientific disciplines relevant to sport science and sports performance.

What Does a Performance and Sport Scientist Do?

CPSS-certified individuals work across multiple sport-related scientific disciplines to monitor and improve performance. Through the process of scientific research, they collect and analyze data, and make informed training recommendations based on the data. They instill best practices in the use of performance technology and guide programs through evidence-based training approaches. 

The Certified Performance and Sport Scientist is an important team player — maintaining productive relationships with coaches and athletic performance staff, medical staff, and other key stakeholders to enhance communication and decision-making in sport and athletic performance settings.

You are eligible for CPSS certificate if you hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Sport Science or similar degree with related coursework, plus verified full-time professional experience, and have a current CPR/AED certification.

Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitators® (TSAC-F®) apply scientific knowledge to physically train military, fire and rescue, law enforcement, protective services, and other emergency personnel to improve performance, promote wellness, and decrease injury risk. They conduct needs analyses and physical testing sessions, design and implement safe and effective strength training and conditioning programs, and provide general information regarding nutrition. Recognizing their area of expertise is separate and distinct, TSAC – Facilitators consult with and refer those they train to other professionals when appropriate.
